The Enviroplus binder is unique in that it uses a specialized moulded removable rivet that connects the binder rings to the cover. When used, this specialized removable rivet allows users to manually assemble/disassemble the binder thus allowing the user to retain the working parts and swap out the used or damaged parts. The ability to manually swap binder parts will effectively reduce the amount of waste in the field. Also, when the binder reaches the end of its usable life or the consumers need for use it is easily broken down into its base components and can in most jurisdictions be blue box recycled. Moreover, giving the end-user the capacity to assemble the Enviroplus binder themselves allows the product to be compact and shipped flat in a drastically smaller container compared to current methods, in turn, saving on shipping volume and fuel costs.
